Bora Bora: A plantation with 20 hectares of mango of Kent variety, located in San Lorenzo Valley in Piura, 10 Km from our packing plant. This plantation is conducted by a self-sustainable farming system, because it has 5 hectares with organic certification and the rest are in the second year of conversion.

Tequila: A plantation of 60 hectares of mango of Kent variety located in ‘El Cholocal’, Motupe district in the department of Lambayeque 260 Km from our packing plant. The harvest season in this zone starts one month after that of Piura.

Our plantations are managed in accordance with the standards of the good farming practices and EUREPGAP. We use the hydric resources appropriately and for this purpose, we have two meteorological stations which continuously monitor the wind and the weather.

We employ specialized professionals in agronomy. The agronomy engineer Mr. Isaías is the person in charge of the farming area (Left) and the agronomy engineer Mr. Marco Alméstar (Right) is responsible for promoting the Good Farming Practices and the EUREPGAP standards. They lead a team of professionals in order to achieve a high quality standard of the fruit from our farms and from our suppliers.

SUNSHINE promotes the integrated pest control primarily through the use of biological control. We also conform with work legislation and provide our workers the appropriate clothing and necessary work environment for them to perform their activities. Our personnel have the training and knowledge in first aid, appropriate use of agrochemicals and waste disposal.

Our suppliers

SUNSHINE works with more than 300 mango producers entirely in the valleys of San Lorenzo, Cieneguillo and Alto Piura (Piura); the valleys of Motupe and Olmos (Lambayeque) and Casma (Ancash). We have the strength of working with large, medium and small sized producers. In all cases we offer technical assistance and a constant monitoring of the health of the cultivation.

We perform an important social role when connecting small producers to the market, because they do not have the capital to maintain their cultivation in good conditions of health and productivity. SUNSHINE offers them financing of the inputs at market prices in addition to the technical assistance that enables the small farmer to achieve a harvest of excellent quality.
