EIn 1951, the relationship between Fernando Wong and agriculture began, when he started sowing the first mandarin plantations in the Huaral Valley about 100Km north of Lima. Later on, in 1985 he started his export activities when he founded SUNSHINE EIRL (later, the name was changed to Sunshine Export S.A.C.) a company which has become one of the largest agro-exporters in the country.

Through the years SUNSHINE has exported citrus fruits, figs, cucumbers, cantaloupes, onions, melons and since 1991 mangoes. Mango is currently our primary export product, an activity which lprovides employment to more than 1,000 people.

Nowadays SUNSHINE exports more than 6,500 metric tons of fresh mangoes to diverse markets such as The United States, Canada, England, Italy, France, Spain, The Netherlands and Hong Kong. The raw material comes from our own farms, from small and medium-sized producers organized in productive chains.
